The law also says that a popular app called TikTok might have to be sold or banned in the US. This decision came after a long argument with other politicians. Biden said that they need to act quickly to help these countries. They are starting to send weapons and money to Ukraine right away to help them fight against Russia.
It is expected that Ukraine will receive more weapons and military support to help them defend themselves against Russia. However, it is uncertain if Ukraine can make enough progress to keep receiving support from the United States, especially after suffering many losses and damage. The White House is worried about the situation in Eastern Ukraine and believes Russia is trying to delay things. Russia is now focusing on taking over Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city. Some members of the US government have been delaying giving more aid to Ukraine because of threats from their own party’s extreme members.
